The Ministry of Housing recently published a decree that brings good news for homeowners wishing to undertake energy renovation work. Published on July 16, this decree aims to raise the ceilings for financial assistance for work eligible for the MaPrimeRénovu2019 grant. It offers increased financial support for low-income and middle-income households.
Raised ceilings for more generous financial aid
Currently, the funding ceilings for energy renovation work are set at 100% for very low-income households, 80% for low-income households, 60% for inter-municipal households, and 40% for households with high incomes. However, the new decrees provide for raising these ceilings, thus making more substantial aid available to the households concerned. From now on, the ceilings will be set at 100 % for modest households, 80 % for inter-municipal households and 60 % for households with superior resources.
A specific measure for accompanied journeys
It is important to note that this measure only concerns supported projects, i.e., large-scale renovations with the help of a qualified renovation consultant. Thus, owners wishing to benefit from this increased financial assistance will have to undertake large-scale renovations, involving several renovation measures, and use a qualified professional to support them throughout the process.
Positive impact on accessibility to energy renovation
These new decrees represent a significant step forward in the field of energy renovation, as they make the work more accessible to a greater number of homeowners. By raising the ceilings for financial assistance for the work, the government is demonstrating its commitment to the energy transition. The State wants to show that it is actively supporting municipalities wishing to improve the energy performance of their homes.
